IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Lexington, West Columbia, Cayce, Oak Grove, Red Bank, South Congaree, Pine Ridge, Gaston, SC State Farmer's Market, Columbia Metro Airport, SC State Fair Grounds, West Columbia Riverwalk, Olympia, Peachtree Rock, Cayce Riverwalk, Edmund, Silver Lake, Guignard Park, Barr Lake, and Dixiana. This includes the following highways... Interstate 20 in South Carolina between mile markers 51 and 58. Interstate 26 between mile markers 110 and 121. Interstate 77 between mile markers 0 and 5. If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.
