About this recording
Published 2026-05-22. Southern California isn’t watching one fire… it’s watching neighborhoods in multiple places. The Bain Fire near Jurupa Valley, the Verona Fire near Hemet, and the Foothill Fire near New Cuyama have all threatened homes, forced evacuations or warnings, and closed roads or areas. The Bain Fire grew fast near Jurupa Valley and threatened structures. This archived recording reflects reporting at publication; conditions may have changed.
